Training
Mental health and social service organizations that want to invest in grief specific training in order to serve the people they work with more effectively are welcome to take advantage.
My signature embodied grief training is detailed below.
In this introductory training, you will be provided with:
An overview of how grief impacts the body
A case study that exemplifies how attending to grief in the therapy process can open up healing that wasn’t accessible before
Time to access your own embodied wisdom and use it to better support your clients.
This training is two hours and costs $600. It can be completed in person or virtually.
If you are interested in receiving this training, please reach out via the contact form.
Moving through Mud:
Holding the Grief Your Clients Carry
Consultation
Being a therapist is a deep, relational and inherently embodied job. However, the body is often left out of the clinical support we seek out. I believe that the support we receive should match the depth of space that we hold for others, which includes attending to the body and learning how to trust the intuition we already carry.
When we carry the stories we absorb alone without creating the space to intentionally share and be witnessed in our experience of carrying them, they can get stuck and make us more likely to doubt ourselves and our therapeutic decision making. This inherently makes it more difficult to show up in the Self-led (open, curious, playful) way that our work demands and that our clients deserve.
One of my favorite abilities to foster is the skill of connecting to embodied knowing and Self trust, and that is the root of my consultation work with other therapists. If you too are curious about how increasing your somatic (body centered) awareness might support your therapeutic work, I would love to hold space for you.
Embodied Consultation Group
The next group begins on Tuesday, March 3rd.
This is a bi-monthly chance to gather with therapist peers, receive support with specific cases and be witnessed in your multi-faceted experience of being a therapist. Our time will include space to land in our bodies and time to listen to, support and offer suggestions as desired to any group members who bring something to share.
I welcome therapists with diverse life experiences, identities, specialities and clinical skills who are open to and curious about increasing their own somatic awareness and knowing. My particular specialities are life transitions, grief, trauma processing and attachment wounds, and I work from a relational lens, integrating IFS with somatic work.
Individual Consultation
This is a great option for one off guidance or particularly sticky experiences that require more time and individual attention to process than a group can provide.
If you are interested in either consultation option, please book a consult call below. This will give us a chance to meet and see if you resonate with my approach and energy.
